Biography
Anna Pilleroni is one of the new harpists on the Italian music scene. She has started showing interest in this fascinating instrument while studying ballet, an art from which she learnt elegance, harmony and discipline, values that still represent her music.
Anna initiated her harp studies with Ester Pavlic and in 2023 she graduated from the Conservatory of Music Luca Marenzio in Brescia under the guidance of Anna Loro. In June 2025, she obtained a Master's degree in Classical Music at the Maastricht Conservatory in Emily Hoile's class.
During her musical journey, Anna has enriched her skills through participation in several masterclasses led by harpists of international level including Letizia Belmondo, Elisabeth Fontan-Binoche, Gabriella Bosio, Patrizia Tassini, Margherita Bassani, Lincoln Almada, Johanna Schellenberger, Marcella Carboni.
In October 2025 she was selected and attended the program “Professione Orchestra” at Orchestra Rai Arturo Toscanini in Turin, in which she focused on orchestral audition preparation.
Her talent and dedication have been recognised in various national and international competitions including the Arpa Festival FVG, the International Music Competition, City of Palmanova, the International Young Talent Competition, City of Gorizia, the LAMS Matera Prize, and the International Competition Bale-Valle, in which she won the first prize overall in Harp Duo in the year 2017 and as a soloist in the year 2022.
She performs as a soloist, in chamber music ensembles and orchestras. She plays regularly together with the mandolinist Eugenio Palumbo, with whom she forms the KhromaDuo, with whom she has given numerous national and international concerts. Among the orchestras she collaborates there are OperaZuid, Maastricht Kamerorkest, Nefelibata of Maastricht, Brixiae Harmoniae Wind Orchestra, Philarmonie Sittard, Limburg Yeugd Symfonie Orkest and Orchestra STU.D.I.O.
Anna collaborates with numerous composers with the aim of creating new music for the solo and chamber harp repertoire, work that results in publications and premieres.
She has had the opportunity to play in some of Europe's most renowned concert halls including Teatro Rossetti in Trieste, Teatro Grande in Brescia, Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht and the Muziekgebouw in Eindhoven.
She plays on a Salvi Harps, model Minerva Naturale (2021).
